Encouragement and Support

Each student at the Rillito Center is encouraged to gain new skills through engaging activities and instruction. Our teachers and support staff care about our students and are trained to meet their needs and challenge them to grow. Each year, the school celebrates that growth with promotion ceremonies that document successes, large and small.

The Rillito Experience

The Rillito Center educates children beginning in preschool age, implementing curriculum and strategies that bring out the best in every child. At the Rillito Center, students and families find the support they need to grow and develop from early childhood through graduation and beyond.

Special Events

It's not all about classroom learning at the Rillito Center. Our students participate in special events each year, including a prom, where students and families gather to dance, laugh and celebrate this springtime tradition.

Welcome to the Rillito Center

The Rillito Center is a place where students from preschool to age 22 with the highest needs learn to be as independent as possible. It is a state-of-the art facility where students use assistive technology to enhance their learning; everything from tablets, to talking books. It is a place where the journey is a series of small steps, with many celebrations along the way. The mission of Rillito is to meet the developing needs of each student through positive, safe and individually challenging learning experiences in a partnership of students, parents, staff and community.
